Ranking by Point System

Traditionally, the medal standings prioritize gold medals. Thus, a nation with one gold medal could outrank a nation with many silver or bronze medals or honorable mentions.

To provide a more nuanced perspective, here are rankings based on points according to three calculation methods:

  • Calculation Method #1: GOLD = 3 points | SILVER = 2 points | BRONZE = 1 point
     

  • Calculation Method #2: GOLD = 10 points | SILVER = 9 points | BRONZE = 8 points

4th place = 7 pts | ...... | 9th place = 2 pts | 10th place = 1 pt
